SLS Governance
Steering Committee
The steering committee is responsible for data protection, confidentiality and security issues for the Scottish Longitudinal Study (SLS) and includes all the component data controllers. The committee includes representatives from the SLS/LSCS, UoE, the National Records of Scotland (NRS), the Office for National Statistics (ONS), the National Health Service Central Register (NHSCR), Scottish Government’s Education Analytical Services (EAS), Public Health Scotland (PHS) and SLS users.

SLS Research Board
The Research Board is responsible for assessing applications to use the SLS. It includes representatives from the main data providers and the SLS team, as well as an independent academic.
