Fiona works as a Support Officer on the Scottish Longitudinal Study, and is based in St Andrews. In 2012 Fiona also took up the post of Co-ordinator for the Census and Administrative data LongitudinaL Studies Hub (CALLS Hub).

Fiona has a background in Psychology, but has worked for a number of years on research covering a diverse range of topics including:

  • adult learning
  • assistive technologies for people with disabilities
  • Health Needs Assessment for ethnic minorities
  • audit of NHS Tayside Maternity Services
  • substance misuse
  • barriers to healthcare for homeless people with long-term illness or disability

Fiona has worked within academic, NHS and research consultancy settings. Prior to joining the LSCS team she worked as a Research Fellow on the Supporting People dataset at the Centre for Housing Research in St Andrews University.
